Team & Mission

Our mission is to make quantum sensing a practical tool for UXO clearing services. By doing so we want to reduce the cost of new housing and infrastructure projects.

Born in the Lab. Aiming for the Field.

Quantum Enhanced Metal Detection (QEMD) was founded in 2025 during the Quantum Fellowship program at the Technical University of Munich.

Since then a lot of expert interviews and market research have validated the vision and potential of the technology. We have then started to build a prototype in the lab and are currently in the process of validating the depth reach and the functionality of the sensor in noisy environments.
